Eastern Cape Youth Development strategy being implemented


​ “We are committed to working with youth formations with the singular objective of getting the youth to be gainfully employed, as well as encouraging and supporting youth entrepreneurship,” said Premier Masualle. The Eastern Cape government is implementing a provincial youth development strategy to help them thrive socially and economically. The Youth Development Unit is coordinating, monitoring and reporting on the youth development work in the province. It is also advocating for major economic opportunities such as; financial and nonfinancial support, mentoring, business development, business registration and so forth.
 
The Provincial Government is committed to work with youth formations with the singular objective of getting the youth to be gainfully employed, as well as encouraging and supporting youth entrepreneurship by providing both financial and non-financial support.  The youth division will also help in coordinating other development initiatives driven by young people, including artisans and technical skills, as well as enterprise development.
 
The Youth Development Unit is looking forward to working with various youth formations in and around the province to enhance the following sectors: Agriculture, Business, Politics, Education and other prominent sectors said Masualle.
