The manager and founder, Mr Amos Mzimeli had undertook the initiative when communities were still looked down on and stigmatized people with disabilities.

The Eastern Cape Provincial Government had nurtured it and ensured that skills were being developed. On the day, certificates, computer desktops and laptops, projector and electronic wheelchairs were handed over to further ensure that there is ongoing skills development, especially for the youth.

The handover also allowed the Provincial Government to showcase its capacity to deliver services to the community through its collaborated efforts. Government also used the occasion to communicate to the public on how they can be able to access government services using the available means which include the hotline.
